Welcome to AirCraft Aerial Arts, Greater Boston’s home for circus aerials!

We are currently enrolling for our next session of classes!

Also, we are offering a ‘Taster’ class for those interested in trying aerials without having to sign up for an entire session.

We offer instruction to beginning & experienced practitioners on aerial silks, corde lisse, lyra/hoop & static trapeze.

Classes are taught by AirCraft’s founder, Jill Maio, and aerialist colleagues Suzanne Rappaport, Leah Abel, Joanna Keseberg, Meghan Kellam, and Marci Diamond. All classes have limited enrollment to maximize personal attention. We also offer private lessons, gift certificates, performances at your events, and loads o’ fun for all!

Special Workshops

FEBRUARY 4 & 5, AirCraft presents Adam Woolley!

Handstands (Open level)
Sat Feb 4th, 2:30-4 pm
A basic workshop for this most basic skill, we will cover the proper technique for training and holding your handstand: how to use the wall correctly, how to spot, and how to find and maintain perfect alignment. Unravel the mystery and understand how to get a
freestanding handstand!

Drop it like itʼs Hot (Int)
Sat Feb 4th, 4:30-6:30 pm
In this Int/Adv workshop we will cover a variety of Rope and Fabric drops and rolls, covering some vocabulary from every family of drops (rolls, slack drops, repels and
flips). With a focus on proper technique and alignment, we will also discuss how to research new drops, variations and wraps.

Drop it like itʼs REALLY HOT (Adv only)
Sun Feb 5th, 12-2 pm
This workshop will focus on Advanced skills and drops. Weʼll be covering mostly open
(unlocked) drops and learning how to train and safely execute them. In addition, weʼll cover some more advanced climbs and dynamic tricks/wraps.

Our next introductory “taster” class will be held on Saturday, February 11 at 3:00 pm. A limited number of spots are available. Please e-mail to register, or to be notified when the next taster classes are scheduled!

Instruction will be aimed at those who are new to aerial arts, and will introduce students to basic moves on aerial silks, corde lisse, static trapeze and aerial hoop.  Each $25 class is 75 minutes. Please email info@aircraftaerialarts.com to sign up.

Our Studio

AirCraft Aerial Arts is located at 14 Tyler Street in Somerville, MA, convenient to Boston and Cambridge.

We have moved a few times, so please be sure you come to the right location!

All classes are held in the gymnasium of the former Ames Envelope company, with 20′ ceilings, heat/air, and locker room facilities.
