Welcome to AirCraft Aerial Arts, Greater Boston’s home for circus aerials!
We offer instruction to beginning & experienced practitioners on aerial silks, corde lisse, lyra/hoop, aerial sling, cloud swing & static trapeze. We also hold flexibility and conditioning classes for aerialists and others.
We are currently enrolling for our next session of classes. We are also offering several ‘Taster’ classes for those interested in trying aerials without having to sign up for an entire session. Just click the “Try Aerials” button above for information.
Classes are taught by AirCraft’s founder, Jill Maio, and aerialist colleagues Suzanne Rappaport, Leah Abel, Joanna Keseberg, Meghan Kellam, Marci Diamond, Amanda Goble and Theresa Racicot. All classes have limited enrollment to maximize personal attention. We also offer private lessons, gift certificates, performances at your events, and loads o’ fun for all!

AirCraft is delighted to welcome visiting artist Dan Stern for two days in Boston. Click here for more on Dan, and get him while he’s here!
Through a modern approach to partnering, a combination of traditional circus pyramids, adagio, and duo acrobatics, this session his will emphasize how to establish and maintain a physical connection with others through various static poses and dynamic transitions. No prior experience is necessary and feel free to come alone or with an established partnership.
Introduction to Handstands. Wed, Oct 30, 6:00 – 7:30 pm $45 Prerequisites: Ability to hold a handstand for 15 seconds against a wall.
Handstands are both physically and mentally challenging, demanding a great deal of strength and body control. Inverting is great cross-training for climbers! This workshop will cover preparatory exercises, spotting techniques and drills to find balance and alignment on your hands.
Aerial Straps. Wednesday, October 30, 7:30 – 9:30 pm $55
Prerequisites: for those with aerial and/or climbing experience
Working on the aerial straps requires the body to support itself, and as such, is a great cross-training tool. Fundamental positions on straps teach excellent body awareness and can help stretch, strengthen and stabilize the shoulders, arms and core. Beyond being a wonderful apparatus for performance in its own right, training on straps can build strong, healthy bodies for any work in the air.
Our next introductory “taster” classes are scheduled for the following dates:
Sunday, November 10, 7:00 – 8:30 pm $25
Thursday, November 21, 6:00 – 7:30 pm $25
A very limited number of spots are available. Please e-mail to register, or to be notified when the next taster classes are scheduled!
Instruction will be aimed at those who are new to aerial arts, and will introduce students to basic moves on aerial silks, corde lisse, static trapeze and aerial hoop (lyra).
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up.
