AirCraft’s founder, Jill Maio, is a veteran performer and teacher of aerial acrobatics, as well as a fiction writer and university instructor. Before her return to the Boston area, she was teaching and performing with the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts.
Leah James Abel sprang around for much of her youth right here in the Boston area, and has continued circus work with the nonprofit charity Clowns Without Borders, as well as with the Imago troupe in Portland, OR, and with Cirque Boom and Kirkos in New York City.
Suzanne Rappaport, who escaped the drudgery of professional snowboarding to join the circus world, has taught and choreographed for circus organizations in Chicago and throughout New England, and supervised the children’s programs at the New England Center for Circus Arts in Vermont.
